Ryan Heyden

Ryan Heyden is a PhD Candidate in the Department of History at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. His major field is modern European history with a specialization in twentieth-century Germany. His research focuses on the German Red Cross and humanitarianism in divided Germany from 1944 to 1975. His research is funded by the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, McMaster University, and the German Historical Institution, Washington DC. He was a participant in the Global Humanitarianism Research Academy in 2018.
