Research Work of a Historian in Ukraine
From the onset of the war, all the institutions within the Academy of Sciences, including the Institute of Ukrainian Archeography and Source Studies where I am employed, along with numerous scientific libraries and archives in Kyiv, were forcibly shuttered. Under such circumstances, we were compelled to use our apartment in Lviv, the city of our youth, which we had maintained precisely for the purpose of occasional work in the abundant archives and libraries found there. Once we arrived and settled in Lviv, we sought avenues for pursuing our research.
